  Sincerity of Intention (Ikhlas)

  Ask yourself: Why am I memorizing the Qur'an? Am I doing this solely for Allah?

  Minimum: 1 time

  Look up the meaning (Tafseer / Translation) of the verses being memorized.

  Say Bismillah and recite while looking at the text (Mus'haf) along with the audio / recitation of a Sheikh.

  Recite on your own while looking at the text.

  Minimum: 20 times

  Recite the memorized verse from memory (without looking).

  Minimum: 15 times

  Recite the verses together (connecting them) while looking at the text.

  Minimum: 20 times

  Recite the verses together (connecting them) from memory (without looking).

  Minimum: 5 times

  Recite the entire page while looking at the text.

  Minimum: 3 times

  Write down the entire page in a notebook while looking at the text.

  Minimum: 1 time

  Recite the entire page completely from memory (without looking).

  Minimum: 1 time
